French Silk Pie
Rich and delectable, you will savour ever bite. A chocolate lovers dream dessert!
Pie Crust - 9 inch
1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup melted butter
Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix until well blended. Press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate.
Pre-bake the crust at 350°F for 10 minutes.
Silk Pie Ingredients
2 ounces/4 squares unsweetened chocolate
3 Tablespoons Grand Marnier
2 Tablespoons instant coffee (optional)
1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
Melt the chocolate, stir in the Grand Marnier & instant coffee, if adding. Cream the butter and sugar together. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in chocolate mixture and nuts. Pour into a cold pie crust.
Garnish with fresh raspberries or fruit of choice. Refrigerate.
