Tacos

I truly love tacos!  Over the years I have developed a recipe to our liking.  We make homemade salsa.  (I will add the recipe soon).  Make your own taco seasoning is easy.  Recipe below.

Top your tacos with tasty delights that will make the recipe your own.  I always wish I could eat just one more.  Por favor, disfruta!

Seasoning

1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp course salt

Mix ingredients together in a jar.  Store in a cool place for up to 1 year.

Taco Meat Mixture

2 Tablespoons oil (grapeseed or avocado)
1 to 2 pounds ground meat, of choice
(quantity depends on how many servings)
3-4 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
1/4 cup water or more

In a heated skillet, sauté the ground meat until it is no longer pink.  Drain grease.  Sprinkle the taco seasoning onto the meat.  Add water.  Mix thoroughly.  Simmer until the water is absorbed (add more if drying out).  Serve mixture on warm corn torillas, whole wheat or flour wraps.  Top with chopped onion, grated cheese, salsa, hot sauce, cilantro and sour cream.
